My cat started to pee on the bathroom rug, or towels, or whatever I lay down on the floor?

This is something new for him..although..it might be the female…I haven’t really caught them in the act….they are about 5 yrs old.

Cats are generally clean animals, it sounds as though someone is trying to tell you that they may not be feeling well, i would recommend a trip to your vet to have each one looked at. Good luck.

Why does my cat keep peeing on my bathroom rug??

OK. My cat has always been reall good about using his litter box. But ever since I re-did my bathroom, (Changed my shower curtain and threw out the old nasty rug and got a brand new one) he’s been peeing on the new bathroom rug!! Is he marking his territory? Is he just a stubborn idiot? His litter box is literally two feet away from him in the very same room!!! What do I do with this cat, expect spray him with water every time I find another pee spot and say “BAD” or “NO” and put my bathroom rug in the washing machine every single day?? I think he does it in the wee hours of the morning because he usually sleeps in my bedroom and whines to be let out around 5-ish.
OK – The cat does not have an infection. He is a male. He is altered (neutered), therefore is is not spraying. He is about one year old. He used to pee on the old rug too, but this is a fairly new development – He never did it when he was a kitten, he just started doing it about a month or so before I re-did the bathroom. I cannot keep the bathroom door closed – His litter box is IN the bathroom. I clean it about every other day so his box is pretty clean. There is a second box in another room. He STILL pees on the bathroom rug. I’m gonna try the Indoor No or Natures Miracle to see if it’s the scent of the rug that pisses the cat off. Other than that, I am totally at a loss.

I would mix up your towels in a basket with sand and brown and even some white. Use a sand rug. But what color is your floor? I would try to blend the rug to the floor. I personally think that it looks choppy to use an accent rug in a color. You might even try a shag rug. Very popular now.

Use a straw basket to hold your daily use items if you do not have drawer space or a medicine cabinet. Add some greenery to the countertop and a nice scented candle. Maybe lavendar for evening relaxaion and a citrus to liven you up in the morning.

A muted, greyish purple and golds/yellows also would go. Black and violet could be another combo.Yellow, burgundy with green, yet another. Textures also bring in color as well as organic items.

If you have a fairly large bathroom, a glass door cabinet would look nice or an armoire. A small chest of drawers in a warm tone, would be nice if you need additional storage (if your furniture that you are referring to is the cabinetry). You could also use a metal or wooden planter stand to hold towels. Try to look at three colors in coordinating. Black also looks nice with sage. You have a sofisicated look, so I would not go too wild with colors. I would stay away from vibrant ones.

Pick up some sample face clothes to try out the color combinations that you like. Then return what you don’t.

The lighter shade of green, or earthy tones will keep your look soothing and clean. Add some organic pieces which will create color and texture. Don’t use bathtub pictures.
Use botanicals or sea creatures. You can always choose a scene that shows a fountain.

Play around. Choose your favorite colors. Maybe bring a painted piece of wood to the store. Although the lighting will be different at your home.

No, but you can cut into the main soil stack, put in a tee with no hub fittings, and vent the sink back to that toilet vent.

An anti-mist spray would have been used and it was probably a ‘film-set’ bathroom – one wall missing and the camera set well back using a long lens.

just set new tile flooring in bathroom how do i make up the difference i gained from the flange to floor?

there is 1/2 inch i gained from toilet flange to finished floor

Are you saying there’s a half inch gap now? If so, you really need to address it, as the toilet should rest on the tile for stability. There’s big trouble ahead if you don’t. The only way to really fix it is to remove the toilet and reset it – which is actually pretty easy.

When I re tiled my bathroom I had too much of a slope from the new toilet, and I had to set extra tiles and mortar them in at the gap end, tucked under the toilet. I finished it with grout that matched the toilet.

No bathroom at the spray set / wading pool at the park. Where to pee?

There is a spray park and wading pool at a park a ways from our house. This summer me and my sister can go there by ourselves on our bikes. But there isn’t a bathroom there.

Maybe we could pee in the grass, but wouldn’t that be obvious?
What about peeing in the pool?

what is that slasher/horror movie sound when someone is walking up on another person?

its sorta high pitched…it comes about every second…it sounds a little bit like “hey…hey…hey..hey” i know how to play it on piano. but i need one of my students to understand what i’m talking about before i teach them, and for the life of my i cant find it on google. so please someone help me?

a scene would be like…chucky for example…chucky is sneaking up to a woman in the shower…and that sound goes off..”hey…hey…hey…hey” and then BOOM! he stabbs her in the leg…she fals and rips down the shower curtain and he stabs her to death. blood everywhere…and then he leaves to find his next victim.

How to fix a too tall bathroom vanity?

The developer used a kitchen cabinet for the vanity in the bathroom. It’s really big and has lots of storage but It’s kind of deep, which means you can’t get really close to the mirror and has no drawer space, but I can deal with that. Problem is it’s counter height and he installed an above counter faucet. I’m 5’5″ and it’s tough for me to use. Any ideas on how to fix? Get a recessed sink installed. The countertop is granite… Thanks!
It was a gut renovation. Unfortunately, this list of things is long, and I don’t see any of them getting done. All the wall lights in the bathrooms are offcenter and too low (not noticed until I went to put up mirrors – your head gets cut off if you’re over 5’6″)

REMOVE VANITY AND CUT THE TOE KICK OFF–WILL DROP THE TOP 4 TO 6 INCHES. RE-INSTALL–OR REPLACE WITH A REGULAR VANITY BASE 24″ DEEP SO THAT YOU CAN KEEP THE GRANITE TOP. GOOD LUCK

How do we secure the sink/counter to the bathroom vanity?

We bought a vanity set from Home Depot for our bathroom. It came with the base (vanity) and a counter/sink piece to sit on top. We don’t see anyway to secure the counter to the vanity. It just sits there. But it rocks a little actually. Seems like it should stay in place somehow other than because the faucet is attached to the plumbing.

How do we do this? It didn’t come with any pieces, and maybe it should have come with directions we don’t have.

I place about an inch of caulk at all four corners, if you ever need to take if off it would be almost impossible if you caulk the entire edges.
Other than that its just the weight of it that keeps it in place.
(the vanity cabinet should be attached to the wall with screws)
place the vanity top in place, do not push down too hard or all the caulk will be pressed out and it could still rock a little.
Caulk around where the vanity top meets the wall to keep out water.

what is the correct way to paint bathroom cabinets?

we are remodeling our bathroom. The countertop is shot but our cabinets are still in great shape. They are not solid wood…they are wood faced. They have been painted once already but I don’t like the color. I am concerned about painting it as I don’t want the paint to scratch or chip off. Any suggestions as to how to assure this will not happen.

You could never go wrong with sanding-priming-light sanding-2nd coat primer – paint (as many layers needed).

We put a rubber backed throw rug on bathroom floor tile it has now turned the white tile yellow underneath?

in my bathroom under the rug the white tile became yellow.what to do to turn it back to wite?

If its a vinyl tile ( which I m guessing not ceramic tile) it a chemical reaction between the vinyl ( petroleum based) and the rubber on the backing , which is also petroleum based. They react with each other when they come into contact for a period of time. Absolutely nothing you can do but replace the tile with a vinyl that won t do this . There are some on the market that wont.
Or replace your rug with one that doesnt have a rubber backing but that can get slippery and the rug move all over.
You cannot get that yellowing out, its permanent.
This happens in kitchens a lot when people track in asphalt oils on there shoes .

What colour paint to go with red and black?

I am in the process of redecorating my bathroom.
I’ve just ordered a bright red venetian blind and I’m having a black and white chequered floor. My bath panel is black and all accessories will be either red or monochrome.

What colour would best suit this scheme?

I know it’s got to be very pale but can’t decide on a shade. I’m thinking either cream or an icy blue or grey shade.
What do you think?

Light/Icy Blue would give it a nice look. Greys ugly.
